Blue Vintage Quilt

I finished off this lovely quilt this week...and had lots of willing models!

Owl Know How

Owl Know How is a lovely children's book by Cat Rabbit and Isobel Knowles...it has a character named Clementine in it...(I had to add an Amelie into our night time version)...and an owl pattern at the back to create your own little owl buddy!

This project has been sitting in the corner of my work room for months...and today I thought I would treat the girls and finally make the owls they have been begging for every time we read the story!

They each picked out the felt they wanted to use - Clementine picking her favourite colour blue and Amelie choosing rainbow colours.

They were both eager to help out and stuffed the owls too!

Sisterly Love and Some New Dresses

My first project post-baby was to get out some larger spring dresses!

I have finally finished the sizes 3-4 and 4-5 and thankfully I had some age appropriate children on hand for some photos:

By the end of the photo shoot I decided to let the girls have the dresses - they loved them so much and it was about time mum made them some more clothes! Also I love the buttons on Amelie's dress and they would have been hard to part with!

So now the stock is lessened but I have officially finished the spring dresses for this year! YAH!

Back at the Machine

For the past few weeks my life has been pretty much feed baby - change baby - rock baby - repeat!

But this week I have been slowly getting in a few minutes of sewing time here and there!

I've had a couple of orders and have been working on some spring dresses in larger sizes:

I got some lovely fabric (below) from an awesome friend...and it has got me thinking about some major sewing I want to do for the girls this summer...it's time to use all the beautiful fabric I have been saving to make some dresses and clothes for the girls before they get to big for mum's home sewn goodness.

And since the arrival of my little super baby my fabric stash needs some man-ing up!

Crash and Burn

This weekend Andy's exhibition closed so we went to have a last little look before it came down!

The girls doing their best Supergirl impressions!

There were some fun antics...and lots of lipstick applied!

It was an excellent show...below are a few of my favourite paintings:

I will leave you with a photo of peaceful Atticus...all tucked into his rainbow blanket!

A Baby and Some Crochet

While I am enjoying the newborn craziness of life...here are some lovely photos of Atticus and his crochet blankets...

The red and white striped one I finished before he was born...

And a ripple blanket I started while waiting for his arrival...it might be some time before it is finished...delusional me took it to the hospital in the hopes of having a few spare moments to crochet...that was silly!

I don't think Atticus is too happy with his half finished blanket!
