30 November 2009 Daily Inspiration

WOW....the final day of November! That went fast! If you have been shooting this month don't forget to go and upload your goodies to the Flickr group!

I will be announcing next months theme tomorrow along with the winner of the Rabbit Softie!

For the final day of light in the darkness month I have chosen images from Francesca Woodman. Inititally sighted on Milk Tooth. I think they are amazing ideas for her time (1958-1981).

On Sunday I finished the Bunny for this months Giveaway. I also made another 2 bunnies at the same time for some pressies (one more on the go but will have to re-thread my machine to black so I left it till last!)

Don't forget to enter the Giveaway by tomorrow (I will draw it at 4pm AEST)!! But don't leave it till then enter now! And thank you to everyone who has left a comment, I have loved reading them and checking out all the great artists!
PS Sorry for the quality of photos...I wanted to take them in natural light but it was so late last night when I finished and I wanted to get them out there so you could see the finished product!

All the bunnies cut out and ready to be sewn!

I have been very very bad....I didn't blog on Saturday and Sunday and now I am playing catch up! For Saturday's inspiration I have chosen an artist that best reflects the day for me. I took Amelie for a swimming lesson in the morning and later we went for a swim at a pool in Elizabeth Bay. So for me the day was all about the water!

Be inspired by the lovely photography of Narelle Autio

27 November 2009 Daily Inspiration

and now for something completely different...

I have noticed a similarity in the types of images I provide for inspirations, mostly portraiture and mostly centred on childhood, which is my favourite theme. However I thought I should mix it up a bit! Today's images are from Australian artist Mark Kimber.

See? Not a person in sight!

23 November 2009 Daily Inspiration

Back from another packed weekend....I took some photos but am not 100% happy with them but I will be posting them tomorrow as I left my laptop at home in the exhaustion!

Today I have chosen to add some crafty inspiration as it has been a while....I personally have to get my head together and start thinking of what I need to make for Christmas!

Kristen Doran designs are full of colour and fun prints. She also has a great series of stitcheries that have the design printed on them for easy use! I love her babushka doll fabric and may have to purchase it soon to make the little dolls (above)...I just love them!

Beautiful!

LOVE this bag....but I cannot get it due to my bag addiction!

Beautiful bird fabric
Fun robot fabric!

Cute bird fabric!

22 November 2009 Daily Inspiration

Today on a search for new inspiration I found the work of Israeli artist Michal Chelbin through the Aperture Website.

I love the element of dance in his work and some of them also have a very Rineke Dijkstra feel to them.

The beautiful and disturbing work of Simen Johan. These are from the series Evidence of Things Unseen.

For more see his website or page at the Yossi Milo Gallery.
